手と花では 2025年11月29日（土）〜12月14日（日）の会期で simo Solo Exhibition「SUN」を開催いたします。

‘日出ずる国’から‘日の沈む国’へー
日本からモロッコへ壁画制作の旅の中、紡ぎ出された石を描く意味
異国の石と石、混ぜ合わせて生まれるエネルギーを描く

simo / Kyosuke Shimogori

1988年大分県出生、滋賀県在住のペインター。
主に自然の中の物質やそれらを含む風景の色や形、光の反射、屈折などに焦点を当て、
収集したイメージを画面上で交錯させ抽象的に繋ぎ止める。
近年はシェイプドキャンバスに光のイメージを重ね合わせて描く’ shape of lights’、
ライフワークとして収集した石を組み合わせ新たな物体として描く‘OBJECT’
などのシリーズ作品を展開。
2025年5月、モロッコ ラバトで行われたJIDAR Street Art Festivalに参加。
アーティストユニットWHOLE9, KAOMANGAI に所属。

From the Land of the Rising Sun to the Land of the Setting Sun—
The meaning of depicting stones woven during a mural-making journey from Japan to Morocco
Depicting the energy born from blending stones of foreign lands

simo / Kyosuke Shimogori
Born in Oita Prefecture in 1988, painter based in Shiga Prefecture.
Primarily focusing on the colors and forms of materials found in nature and the landscapes containing them, as well as light reflection and refraction,
he intertwines collected images on the canvas and abstractly binds them together.
Recent series include ‘shape of lights’, where images of light are layered onto shaped canvases,
and ‘OBJECT’, where stones collected as a lifelong pursuit are combined and depicted as new objects.
Participated in the JIDAR Street Art Festival in Rabat, Morocco, May 2025.
Member of the artist units WHOLE9 and KAOMANGAI.
